The Chinese New Year is on February 1st, 2022. This year is the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Tiger. The years of the Tiger are 2022, 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950, and 1938 and continue to go down by 12. Anyone born with a combination of 12 differences, up or down, will be in the same zodiac sign and the same animal.

For example, I’m 24 years older than one of my kids, 24 can be divided by 12 equally into 24 making us belong in the same animal sign. We are both “Pigs”! I know, that’s funny but even though the Pig is not as strong and glamorous as a Tiger, the Pig is one of the most intelligent animals on board.

The Year of the Tiger 2022

2022 is the Chinese Year of the Tiger

I find the Chinese zodiac charts and animal signs more confusing than astrology. But they are fun to read about and make great holiday gifts online. Of course, when you are an unflattering animal on the list, just smile and it’s all for fun. I say that because my son and I are “Pigs” and the lowest on the zodiac animal chart. But the “Rat” is of the highest order. A matter of opinion I say!

Again, this year is from February 1, 2022, up to January 21, 2023. Its element is water and the Tiger. After 2023, the Tiger won’t return until February 1, 2034.

The Tiger is known as the king of beasts in China. Even in other countries, the Tiger is referred to with that definition. This animal is thought highly of due to its strength, and braveness and is thought to even exorcise evils. The Tiger ranks 3rd among the animals in the Chinese zodiac order.
